He's been playing every game now, he's the main reason Valencia is doing so good in the spanish primera division, he's like the Henry of Arsenal, they cant win without him

Indeed, and Valencia lost yesterday for the first time in 16 games against Racing Santander with 2-1. They were playing so good. But the last few games they tied, and now they lost.

Aimar Discharged !

Quote:
Valencia’s midfielder Pablo Aimar was discharged on Thursday and left the hospital “Nou d’Octubre”, were he was admitted since last Wednesday due to a lymphocytic meningitis. The Argentinean, who left the hospital at 11:10 in the morning accompanied by the team press head, stays in bed at home while he is being monitored in order to see his progress with an eye on his return to training.

Aimar, grateful and impatient

Through ‘valenciacf.es’, Aimar wanted to “thank the medical corps and the hospital staff, as well as all who have shown concern for me, my team-mates and coach, the president and, of course all Valencia’s supporters. Now I am looking forward to train and play again as soon as possible in order to help my team in the remaining matches.

Im glad he's back and that he recovered from his meningitis, Im just glad that got to it fast or else it would of been a huge problem...

Indeed, it would be terrible if he was too late and he died. That would be one of the worst players we lose. But he was on time, and nothing happend.

Good win by Valencia who have been euphoric this last month, with some slaughtering wins against this weekends Bilbao and last weeks Espanyol, this weekends Bilbao got owned in their satdium with 3 goals in 5 minutes of topscorer Villa, the “Guaje”, Valencia played great and needed the 81 minute to get on a 0-1 lead, after that Villa had the time of his life scoring 2 goals after his first goal, what a hattrick that is, the fastest prolly this year in the Spanish Primera

Man this sucks for Valencia, they had a chance to be qualified for the groupstages but no they had to lose against Osasuna, Real lost too against Sevilla (4-3) so if Valencia had won it,or tied against Osasuna they would of been in second position, but they lost 2-1, this really makes me sick, now they still have tp qualify for the CL groupstages, so they arent even sure yet, but they prolly win it tho, but it would of been so much cooler if they would of ended second

Well, it doesn't matter that they've got to qualify them or not, I'm sure they'll qualify for the groupstages. Maybe they'll play against Standard :P

Striker Morientes joins Valencia

Quote:
Liverpool striker Fernando Morientes has returned to Spain to join Valencia for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old former Real Madrid striker has only been at Anfield for 16 months, but managed to score just 12 goals in 61 games.

His disappointing season was capped when he was left out of the Spanish squad for this summer's World Cup.

Morientes moved to Liverpool from Real Madrid for £6.3m in 2005 after he had excelled while on loan at Monaco.

"Everybody at Liverpool would like to wish `Nando' all the best with his new club in Spain," said a statement on the Liverpool website.

On Tuesday Morientes' agent Gines Carvajal said the striker would not return to Spain and would fulfill the remaining two years of his Liverpool contract.

Morientes made his first division debut with Albacete in 1993 and joined Real Zaragoza two years later where he went on to score 28 league goals in two seasons.

In 1997 Real Zaragoza sold him for £4.5m to Real Madrid.

The striker won three European Cups and two league titles with Real but the arrival of Ronaldo in 2002 limited his chances.

Morientes moved on loan to Monaco, helping the French club reach the Champions League final in 2004, before they were beaten 3-0 by Porto.

He returned to Real Madrid at the start of the 2004-2005 season, but the arrival of Michael Owen again pushed him down the striking pecking order at Real and in January 2005 he joined Liverpool.

Although Morientes will not be going to the World Cup he has an impressive strike rate for Spain, scoring 26 goals in 43 international appearances.

Wohoooow Go Valencia, this is one big signing, he'll do good there next to Villa, yes yes Im soo happy now Very Happy
