| Quote: | SPURS CLINCH MURPHY SIGNING
Tottenham Hotspur signed Danny Murphy from Charlton Athletic on Tuesday evening - just before the transfer deadline.
Murphy was left out of the Addicks squad for the home clash with West Bromwich Albion as he discussed moving across London.
The 28-year-old spent 18 months at The Valley after joining from Liverpool, where he spent seven years following his move from his first club Crewe Alexandra in 1997.
"Danny is an experienced player who is used to playing at the highest level. He has a fantastic ability to create chances and we are delighted that we have been able to bring him to the Club," said Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli.
Murphy added on the club’s official website, www.spurs.co.uk: "Spurs has always been a club that has attracted me, but whereas previously things didn’t work out, this time they have and I am absolutely delighted.
“I am looking forward to playing my part in the team Martin Jol is building."

it's good we have a Left midfielder, first since Ginola I think, I really think we are missing Mido as we have a distint lack of ability to score goals withoutr him. |

so take your expectancy, 48 points left this season less 15 points add 4 = 37points still avaliable. that means they are abovce spurs on goal difference only having played 3 games more. |

yes and we should have one, but you have got to remember one thing, they haven't lost at home since their defeat to Man U in October/November |
