an assist has to be appreciated more, because without it, there would never be any goals. THe best goals are not solo efforts, but excelent crosses, passes, or flick ons

Difficult to answer - especially having just watched Argentina string 24 passes together (the 24th being Crespo's beautiful back heel) before scoring the best World Cup goal I've ever seen - This was THE 'assist' of all time and one of - if not THE best goal I've ever seen Woohoo3

I think it's bull to say the assisting player has to deserve the most credit, thats bull, since the goalscorer is then most important key bc he needs to shoot in in, not the guy who gives the assist, and he can also score a goal without having someone to pass the ball toswards him by giving an assist, so no doubt about this, the scorer is the most important thing

well and assist makes the beautiful goal a beautiful goal with out it, it will just be a goal but i have to say the goal cause thats whats most important
