United Vs Charlton
Quote:
Manchester United will look to sweep aside struggling Charlton and continue their march towards the Premiership title at Old Trafford on Saturday.

United have been in scintillating form since their defeat to Arsenal in January and have racked up eight goals in their last two Premiership games.

They are six points clear of reigning champions Chelsea and will be determined to avoid any slip-ups against Charlton.

Wayne Rooney suffered an ankle injury in the 4-0 victory over Tottenham last Sunday and was not risked for England in midweek, but he is expected to be fit and available for selection.

Edwin van der Sar will not play though, after breaking his nose in a collision with Spurs' Robbie Keane. Tomasz Kuszczak is set to make only his third Premiership appearance of the season as he deputises between the posts.

With the majority of United's squad on international duty this week, Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping his players return with no fresh niggles.

Charlton are currently five points adrift of safety and eager to climb out of trouble quickly, but they will view anything gained at Old Trafford as a bonus.

There have been some encouraging signs for The Addicks in recent weeks, with a battling defeat to Chelsea coming on the back of an away victory over Portsmouth and draw at Bolton.

New £2.5million signing Madjid Bougherra has been struggling with a calf problem, but the defender could make his debut as Talal El Karkouri is suspended.

Midfielder Alexandre Song, signed on loan from Arsenal, is also likely to feature.

Leading scorer Darren Bent has also recovered from a knee problem after six weeks on the sidelines, but he may not be rushed straight back into the side.

Skysports.com Prediction: 3-0
United should prove far too strong and coast to victory.

Player to watch: Henrik Larsson

the final score is:

Manchester United 2: Park 24 & Fletcher 82
Charlton Atheltic 0

looks like we where wrong about the scorers & the score line, but manchester united are still top of the league!
