Cerezo: Aguero Going Nowhere Aguero, 19, has emerged as one of the best young forwards in the world this season, having been signed by Atletico from Independiente in 2006 already labeled a great prospect.
His form this season has seen him mentioned in the same breath as compatriot and Barcelona star Lionel Messi, with several big clubs being linked with his signature.
Cerezo has moved to quell such speculation, insisting the player is happy at the club and that with their prospects of Champions League football looking very strong as we near the end of the season, 'Kun' Aguero sees no reason to leave.
“I say what I have always said. That is that Aguero is not for sale and does not want to go,” he told Marca.
Aguero himself has always seemed content at Vicente Calderon and eternally grateful to them for giving him his first chance in Europe. Whenever the player himself is questioned about a move away from los Rojiblancos he has reacted with disinterest and loyalty to Atletico, so a summer move - no matter how attractive the suitor - is highly unlikely.
Atletico sit fourth in La Liga with four games left to play, and despite some woefully inconsistent form, they look like sealing qualification to next year's edition of Europe's elite club competition. |

Too many times are stars from smaller teams bought by the bigger teams. It's good to see that he'll be staying |
