Madrid Make Mega Villa Offer The 26-year-old has sparked speculation after admitting that he will be leaving Mestalla this summer in a move that will also ease the club's reported financial problems.
Mega Offer
Madrid are ready to offer a colossal €30m plus either Esteban Granero or Rubén De la Red, while Inter have shown their hand by making preliminary enquiries about Villa.
Marca believe that the former Real Zaragoza goalscorer has rebuffed a move to Tottenham Hotspur and has been waiting for Los Merengues to make their move, which in a later report they now have.
Valencia were originally thought to be prepared to off-load Villa for around €20m, but that has now doubled and has led to Madrid having to make their incredible move.
Bernd Schuster has made it clear that he wants a powerful striker who can impress on the floor and in the air and has already admitted that he is a big fan of Jan-Klaas Huntelaar, who will be available.
Added to that the chance to make a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still in the offing, so those two are more realistic targets for the club who have no intention of buying more than one forward this summer.
Inter The Unknown
Inter may well have gawped at the current asking price, if indeed Marca's report has any substance to it at all, and could be preparing to counter that with a more realistic approach of around €25m.
The Serie A side's president Massimo Moratti was said to have been particularly enchanted by the 26-year-old's 35-yard goal against his side when the teams met in the Champions League last term.
Currently, Inter tend to operate with Ibrahimovic and Julio Cruz in attack, and Villa could potentially be in line to replace the latter in the first eleven.
However, the nerazzurri are also hot on the trail of Chelsea's Didier Drogba, so nothing can be settled just yet because the green light from Stamford Bridge could see a merry-go-round of events kick in to gear.
Hungry For England
Tottenham cannot count themselves out of the race yet either due to Villa's desire to try his luck in the Premier League. Having said recently that he would prefer to join Arsenal than Chelsea, Arsène Wenger has now stated that he does not want the player.
That leaves Juande Ramos, with whom Villa has said he would like to work, at the front of the queue of English clubs and reports have suggested that contact with Valencia has already been initiated by the White Hart Lane side.
“I think I'm made to succeed in England but of course it's one thing saying it and quite another getting there and then doing it," Villa said in April.
“The Valencia president always told me he wouldn't sell me until summer 2008. If an offer comes in I'm hungry to test myself in England.” |

Think he should stay at Valencia, He is a Hero there, always has a starting line up. He gets to play CL at Valencia so Spurs move wouldn't be the best, Inter have a great line up of Forwards so he will have to keep up his playing standards and at Real, no one is a sure in for a start. If he did move than Inter would the best option |
