Newcastle forced to wait over N'Zogbia ruling

Newcastle United won't know the future of their midfielder Charles N'Zogbia until next month.

The 19-year-old, chief operating officer Russell Cushing and the club's lawyers attended a seven-hour hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland on Monday as the teenager's former club Le Havre continued their legal fight against his transfer to St James' Park in September 2004.

Le Havre are challenging a FIFA decision which ordered the Magpies to pay them compensation rather than reinstate the player to their ranks.

While Newcastle could have to wait until well into July for a decision, N'Zogbia will be able to return for pre-season training with the rest of his team-mates next Monday and start preparations for the new campaign, which gets underway for Graeme Souness' side with their Intertoto Cup third round, first leg game on the weekend of July 16/17.

Faye on loan to Bolton
Bolton Wanderers will take Lens defender Abdoulaye Faye on their pre-season training trip to Switzerland today - although no fee has been agreed for his 12 month loan.
Senegal international Faye has agreed to go while negotiators sort out the size of the 'rent.' Wanderers have agreed to take him full-time if he plays enough games

well that rumor has long died, with Real having 2 official signings and one more on the way it definitely won't happen.

Real quash Ronaldo exit rumours

Real Madrid have denied they are trying to offload Brazilian striker Ronaldo after speculation had linked the 29-year-old with a return to Inter Milan in a swap deal involving compatriot Adriano.

Quote:
A statement issued by the club said: "Real Madrid reiterate after the rumours published in the press regarding a possible exchange between Adriano and Ronaldo, that we have no intention to listen to any offers or negotiate the sale of striker Ronaldo.

"Neither the club president nor any club executive will study any offer for the Real Madrid player. Thus, the club will not negotiate the departure of the best striker in the world."

Why the hell would anyone even try to think of a reason why Real would swap Ronaldo for anyone, much less for Adriano? I mean, Mr. World Footballer of the Year for Mr. ?? Someone in the pressroom needs to be fired
