'Vieira wants answers'
Patrick Vieira will reportedly ask Arsene Wenger this week whether the Gunners want to sell him to Juventus or Real Madrid.

The Frenchman is said by The Sun to be 'completely bemused' at reports that Arsenal are looking to offload him this summer, with Juventus rumoured to have offered £5m and midfielder Stephen Appiah for his services.

The Italian club have denied having talks with Arsenal about Vieira, but reports in Italy say that they will be back with a bid of £15m plus defender Jonathan Zebina and midfielder Enzo Maresca.

But Juve director general Luciano Moggi said in L'Equipe: "There have never been any negotiations over Vieira. I went to London for other players, not Vieira. Yes, I met with Arsene Wenger, but that's because he's a friend of mine - not to discuss Vieira's transfer."

But The Sun says that Vieira wants to hear it from the horse's mouth and will demand answers from Wenger.

Baptista to snub Arsenal move?
Arsenal target Julio Baptista will remain in Spain with Sevilla for another season to become a European citizen.

The Brazilian striker was thought to be on his way to Highbury after he rejected a new contract at the Spanish club, but he has now done a u-turn and says he will stay another season in order to get a Spanish passport.

"I want to stay with Sevilla for one more season," he is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.

"Then I will be able to gain dual nationality and become a European citizen. If I went to Arsenal now, I would not be able to."

Sevilla have threatened to report Arsenal to FIFA as they claim that Arsene Wenger spoke to the player without their permission.

Cygan fears Henry's Arsenal exit

Arsenal defender Pascal Cygan believes star striker Thierry Henry could follow Patrick Vieira out of Highbury.
Vieira ended his nine-year association with the Gunners by joining Juventus on Friday and Cygan thinks Henry may decide now is the right time to leave.

Quote:
"I can forsee the possibility of Thierry leaving as a result of Patrick's departure," said Cygan.

"Vieira has given Arsenal so much and this transfer is a fair way of paying him back."

Cygan added: "I've heard people say that Arsene Wenger wants to sign two international-class players.

"But if it means losing Pat, what the hell is the point? He will leave behind a huge gap and I don't see who will be able to replace him.

"The training ground will be a sad place without him."

No way.... w/o Henry and Vieri Arsenal will be poo.... they got Pieres, Bergkamp, Lehmann and.... ? i mean to loose Henry is suicide, plus where would he go? I've heard of no interested clubs. If they wanna f-ck up the EPL even more (i.e. Glazer taking over Man U), trade henry to an non-EPL team, and if he leaves, the only clubs he'll be going to are outside the EPL... in my opinion.
