Stuttgart sign Tomasson from Milan

Quote:
BERLIN, July 16 (Reuters) - VfB Stuttgart have signed Denmark striker Jon Dahl Tomasson on a four-year contract from AC Milan, the Bundesliga side said on Saturday.

Stuttgart, who last month sold Germany striker Kevin Kuranyi to Schalke 04 for a reported seven million euros ($8.46 million), did not disclose a fee for 28-year-old Tomasson.

"Jon Dahl Tomasson is a striker with a lot of international experience and someone who proved in Italy what an excellent player he is," said Stuttgart's new coach Giavanni Trapattoni.

"Stuttgart is the club I was hoping for," Tomasson, who has also played for Newcastle United and Feyenoord, told the German club's website. "I'm very happy that the transfer to Stuttgart has been completed."

Milan had reached an agreement with Benfica to sell him there, byt had a few minor things to irn out, then out of no where they sell him to Stuttgart. This is the same case as Real Madrid going to Inter. A great player that deserves more playing time but doesn't because of the amazing starting lineup they have.So they sell him so they get well desereved playing time.
