Comments on this player for this season: issbill on 2006-04-15 Why is the best keeper in the world rated so lowly, bloody biased gooners
revolutionfan on 2006-04-15 LOL. Robinson is not even in the top 5 best, might be top 10 at a stretch.
issbill on 2006-04-15 Oh so that's why Barca wanted him last summer, oh and he is touted as one of England's best ever by no less than Gordan Banks. Oh and finally most Gooners believe that they made a mistake turning him down, oh and finally that's why he is in the top three in the opta stats for keepers for the last two seasons, yep definetly in the top three in the world, maybe not the best but definetly up there, oh I forgot, when Sir Alex Ferguson was asked who he belived was the top three keepers in the world he said Robbo, Dida and Casillas, enough said
seiya on 2006-04-15 What about Buffon? :P
issbill on 2006-04-15 Hey not my words, I believe Buffon, Robbo and Cech are the world's top three
revolutionfan on 2006-04-15 Fergie? He named Dida, nuff said.
Friedel and Keller are both better. Heck Friedel is even higher in Actims. Valdes at Barca is certainly better.
Robinson is not even in the same class as Buffon, Cech, Cassillas and others.
revolutionfan on 2006-04-15 Oh yeah, Reina and VDS are better too.
issbill on 2006-04-16 Robbo is a key part of the England team, if we didn't have him in there we would have no chance. Keller was dropped from Spurs because of Robbo, and Robbo is a very very strong reason why we are so high in the league, Casillas is okay but Robbo is better, Buffon is class hence why he is in my top three. Robbo, Buffon and Cech without question are the worlds top three. Casillas 4th and Valdes 5th.
issbill on 2006-04-16 Reina is okay and Van Der Saar is alright, but are not in Robbo's and Cech league. Robbo would get into any team in the prem except Chelsea no questions asked, so much so they had a debate on the radio as why Robbo was not in the Pfa player of the year awards, and they couldn't find an answer
issbill on 2006-04-20 Finally Robbo is where he should be in the top three
revolutionfan on 2006-04-20 Wow, you are so biased towards Tottenham it is a joke. Robbinson is a good keeper, but nothing that special. Cassillas is easily alot better as is Buffon and Cech. The others there is some debate. Even the EPL's official rankings has him 4th (Was 5th below Friedel a week or two ago).

Oh yeah, and if Keller and Robinson were both English and the same age, I don't believe for a second Robinson would've beaten him out.
Rochester Rhino on 2006-04-20 yea, isbill your biased remarks are getting a bit out of hand. I know you have great pride in your team and the players but you need to be realistic. So what if he was looked at by Barca and Arsenal, do you know how many other keepers they've looked at too? you have no point there. And im sure that was prolly a radio show for tottenham fans .
issbill on 2006-04-21 Er no, it was talksport lead by a gooner and Rodney Marsh. Keller was booted out as he couldn't get into the team in front of Robbo, not because he is American. So the 'arguably' best keeper of all time Banks is no judge of a keeper. how about Clemence or Jennings, or many others.
revolutionfan on 2006-04-22 You can't tell me the fact that Keller was nearing the end of his career and Robinson was just entering his prime had nothing to do with it. I'd take Robinson over Keller due to age, but if it was for one game tomorrow I'd take Keller no question.
issbill on 2006-05-05 Keller against Robbo, Robbo is a complete different league, Spurs fans as the best since Jennings, Keller wouldn't be considered in the top few we have had over the last few years, he would behind Sullivan, Erik the Viking and Robbo, please ask anybody who has seen him play how good he is for England and Spurs
revolutionfan on 2006-05-05 Please ask anyone who has seen him how amazing Keller has been for the US (player of the year in 05) and in Germany.
issbill on 2006-05-06 I have seen him play, more times then you have, unless you watched him in every Spurs game, I don't deny he's a good keeper, but please don't put him in Robbo's class, or you honestly haven't seen Robbo play for England or Spurs
revolutionfan on 2006-05-06 Keller is World Class. If you watched him for the US, he is up there with the very best.
issbill on 2006-05-08 He is not, he just looks good as the oppenents attack are poor, he is nowhere near one of the top keepers, Lehmann is better then him, and he is not in the same league as Robinson, Buffon or Casillas
revolutionfan on 2006-05-09 Let me ask you, how many times have you seen Keller in the past year and a half, honestly?
Swordgator on 2006-05-10 err, Lehmann has been better than Robinson this season.
revolutionfan on 2006-05-11 I know, so have Cech, Reina, Friedel, VDS, etc. but to issbill, he's apparantely the best in the world.
issbill on 2006-05-12 About 10 times
Lehmann is a joke and can't be considered in the top ten keepers in the prem, please don't honestly say you think he is, May I also add that was Alumins (sp
) words not mine
May I also add Clemence, Sir Alex Ferguson and Gordan Banks all agree with me, saying he is one of the best keepers in the world, oh lets also add Jennings to that list shall we
revolutionfan on 2006-05-12 One of the best? Best 20? I'd give you that, maybe.
Swordgator on 2006-05-13 Just exactly why can't Lehmann be considered in the top 10 goalkeepers?
He's consistently good
currently German no.1
playing for a top 4 team
About to play in a European final.
Kept Clean sheets against Real Madrid & Juventus.
Just because he acts like a twat, doesn't mean he's not a good goalkeeper... if that were true Wayne Rooney (who is overrated) wouldn't be considered England's best player.
issbill on 2006-05-14 Top 20 please are you being biased or stupid? (that was a question not an insult). Robbo is one of the best in the world, Lehmann is only the German natitional keeper because there is no one else, as I have already pointed out his own team mates don't rate him. I have also backed up my comments with ex-world class keepers who say the same as me. You wouldn't find a single person agree with you about Keller over Robbo, whose been there seen it done it. The main point is your being completely biased, Lehmann would be lucky to get in the Spurs reserve team, as Cerny is a better keeper.
issbill on 2006-05-14 swordgator, Lehmann has not even been in the same league as Robbo this season, just because he kept a clean sheet against a very out of form Juve and a very poor Real team, doesn't say anything. If Robbo was in the Arsenal team you would be very very close to Chelsea
revolutionfan on 2006-05-14 It's no bigger secret U.S. Footballer Of The Year Kasey Keller is enjoying a marvellous run through the season in between Borussia's sticks. The balded goalkeeper, who signed on a free transfer from UK-based Tottenham Hotspurs in January 2005 and is tied down for a further season with Borussia, hasn't just made himself a huge fan-favourite and the regular starter for his nation in the upcoming FIFA World Cup, he has also impressed with excellent displays throughout his Borussia career. Sources of Bundesliga statistics have plainly revealed, Keller has made altogether 16 result-keeping saves this season. That earns him the Bundesliga top-rank (alongside Hanover's former Borussia youngster Robert Enke) in that aspect. In terms of ball-catches the US-international provides a quota of 65 percent and ranks on 2nd in Bundesliga behind German international Oliver Kahn of Bayern München there. Averagely he blocks 71 percent of those shots powered on his goal, has conceded six goals from a distant shooter and has yet to make a first blunder leading to a goal against Borussia this season, an aspect in which he tops the list of Bundesliga keepers.

Keller will be heading to his FIFTH World Cup in June. He is playing much better than he did in Tottenham, and yes I could find many who HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN HIM THIS YEAR that would rate him over Robbo (who doesn't even make Actim's list of the top 5 EPL goalies this year).
revolutionfan on 2006-05-14 OOPS wrong link, not good when you are trying to do homework and post at the same time.
http://www.seitenwahl.de/e/
issbill on 2006-05-17 Actim are not official try OPta's which have him in the top 5
revolutionfan on 2006-05-17 Actually Actim are the official stat keeper of the EPL...
issbill on 2006-05-20 Er no Opta are, check your teams website and also the FA's
revolutionfan on 2006-06-05 Er WRONG AGAIN!
"What is Actim?
Actim is the brand name for the official data of the FA Premier League, The Football League and the Scottish Premier League."

I think this pretty conclusive Opta is better
seiya on 2006-10-07 Im glad you guys finally stopped arguing about this haha. Good goalkeeper, definetly.
issbill on 2006-10-07 This debate will never finish
issbill on 2006-10-08 Robinson proves why I think he is one of the best ever, he has broken Shilton's record of 8 clean in sheets in 9, with 9 in 10, if he keeps a clean sheet against Croatia he will hold the record of most clean sheets ever with 7.
Stats never lie
issbill on 2006-10-11 Okay Robbo pulled of a couple of nice saves tonight, he also made a serious blunder for the second goal, where the ball bounced badly, possibly unlucky
kenneth on 2006-10-12 It can happen to every keeper, it's just bad luck
