Horrible champions league final, horrible... if he plays the world cup like that he wont get far...

bestintheworld06-07 on 2006-05-18
best player ever

Swordgator on 2006-05-18
Henry's better

ceh on 2006-05-20
yeah seiya I agree with u, if he plays like that in the World Cup, Brazil can forget their title, they wont win with a Ronaldinho thats playing so crappy

issbill on 2006-05-20
Just proving your biasedness Sword, Ronaldinho is in a different league to Henry. Don't get me wrong Henry is great but not as good as Ronaldinho and I don't think Shev either, but we will find out next season when Shev joins Chelsea

Swordgator on 2006-05-22
Henry has a higher score rate than Ronaldinho, he gets roughly the same amount of assists as Ronaldinho, the two most crucial things for an attacking player Goals & assists, and Henry wins out... Ronaldinho is good but because of the tricks he gets a higher billing.

El Marino on 2006-05-22
Ronaldinho is an attacking middfielder or plays on the left, Henry is a center forward, that makes a difference

issbill on 2006-05-22
Please look at two stats,

1. Which player has more goals in the champ league last season

2. Which player has more assists in the champ league last season

Swordgator on 2006-05-23
Champs League is merely one cup competition.
Look across all competitions the two played in, or to simplify it. The League, CL & Spanish cup/FA Cup

Henry will win.

El Marino on 2006-05-23
Ronaldinho gives more assists then Henry

Swordgator on 2006-05-23
talley up both goals and assists then see who has the greater number.

And don't use the striker/midfielder argument, because Gerrard being a midfielder scores a lot more than say Crouch Liverpool's starting striker.

issbill on 2006-05-23
I used the champs league, as it is a comp both played in, I think you would agree the prem has more goals than the Spainish leagues, so wouldn't be fair to compare, while a comp they both played in would be, the next comparable is the World Cup

Swordgator on 2006-05-24
The Prem doesn't have the most goals in, as I'll put money on you seeing more scoreless draws in the premiership than you will in La Liga.

Add in the fact Ronaldinho plays for probably the best attacking team in Europe at the moment, I'd say it's quite fair, add in the games in the premiership which Henry missed near the begining of the season and if anything it tips it into Ronaldinho's favour. Yet Henry will still come out top.

issbill on 2006-05-24
Okay here we go

Prem 944/20=47.2 goals per club

Henry 27 goals

Henry assists 6

Spainish 936/20 46.8 goals per club

Ronaldinho 17 goals

Assists 13

As you can see Ronaldinho is miles ahead on assists and a waybehind on goals, but 17 from Midfield is class, I also show that La Liga had less goals. I think the stats show Ronaldinho in a different league

prin00944 on 2006-05-24
He is the best player of Barcelona. He will be a best
football player of the world. He can do any thing with football.

seiya on 2006-05-25
less goals by 1 lol less than .4 per club :P

doggiedog on 2006-05-27

soccer on 2006-07-06
Ronaldinho is the best player of the world, sure.

realmadrid540 on 2006-07-15
What ronaldinho is good did you see him in the world cup were it counts he didnt do s*** like everyone is now saying he shines in barca because he has a great team behind his back which will help him with every thing. After that show in the world cup he shouldnt be called the best player in the world

footyfanatic51 on 2006-07-16
oh, ok so the brazil squad isn't a great team?? lol and i agree, if he can't perform on this stage the biggest of all, H e doesn't deserve all this recognition.

camqp on 2006-07-20
well, it is true that he did not look like the best player in the world in the world cup. many players played better.

issbill on 2006-07-21
Henry wasn't exactly the world beater in that Tournament Robbo had a poor comp (still kept 4 out of 5 clean sheets though) so don't go on one tourni

CISCOEG6 on 2008-04-03
Doubts about Ronaldinho's future grew this week when Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport reported that De Assis recently met AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani to discuss a possible move. Sports daily Marca has added that De Assis had also spoken to officials from Inter Milan.
