Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho is almost certain to join the Rossoneri, as his brother-and-agent Roberto de Assis has been involved in extended negotiations about a transfer over the past week.

The Brazilian will be fielded by Milan in an attacking midfield position, which will mean Seedorf will probably be forced to drop into a deeper position.

The Dutchman has made no secret in the past that he dislikes playing in this more defensive role, and Controcampo says that he will refuse to make this sacrifice next season.

Valencia have reportedly made a bid for the outspoken 32-year-old, and Milan may consider a sale if Italian left-back Emiliano Moretti is included in a part-exchange deal.

Reports of a possible clash between Seedorf and Ronaldinho were already brought into the open earlier this week, when the former told the latter that he would not be having his number 10 shirt.

“When I was playing for Inter, I used to wear the number 10, and when I moved to AC Milan, I could not continue using it because it belonged to Rui Costa," explained Seedorf.

"When he left the club, I was able to wear my favourite number, so I think that this example should prevail this time as well."
