New Copa Libertadores Edition!
Quote:
The 47th edition of the Copa Libertadores de América, the continent's most prestigious club competition, gets underway this week. Six preliminary round first leg games will take place between Tuesday and Thursday with 12 teams looking to secure a lucrative berth in the group stage.

Im looking forward to it, i hope my team does good... they playing a brazilian team tomorrow while im in class. Doh!

In an astonishing series of coincidences, the years 1966, 1976, 1986 and 1996 have all seen Argentine giants River Plate make it through to the final of the Copa Libertadores. Having crashed out at the semi-final stage in the last two editions of the tournament, River will be hoping that 2006 is their year once more. However, to be in with a chance of repeating the feat they will first have to dispose of Bolivian side Oriente Petrolero in the preliminary round.

River has no chance, pfft, no way!

Either Boca or Cuenca!!!!!!!!!!!

Well what do you know... first game.. first 10 minutes.... corner kick and no defender doing his job... away team scores, and to their job to defend the whole freaking game.... one guy scored a really nice goal for my team so its 1-1 but heh... i think we are out... crap Sad

On other news:

Argentine legend Daniel Alberto Passarella could hardly have had a better official debut as River Plate coach, with his new charges crushing Oriente Petrolero of Bolivia 6-0 last night. Point and Laugh Oriente Petrolero
