1. Make threads (75 points per topic*)
2. Reply to threads (40 points per reply*)
3. When people reply to your threads you get points too
4. You also get: 2 per reply for the topic author, 0.05 per character
5. Max amount per post: 75
6. you can make bets in the betting thread (http://www.soccerod.com/topic2049.html)If you wish to make a bet, you can do it two ways
7. Trivia Challenge
8. End in the top three in a prediction league

*you don’t get points for posting in the general forums, welcome board or the sOD manager forum

Making bets

If you wish to make a bet, you can do it two ways

the first is with each other, for instance if you think Man U will win the prem and your mate says Chelsea will, you clearly state in the betting thread I bet, for instance issbill 2500 points that Man U will beat Chelsea to the premiership, the next step is to get that person to confirm the bet, on the same thread, the bet will then be added to the bets outstanding thread, if it is not please pm a Admin or Mod member.

The second way to bet is to place in the betting thread I wish to get the odds for , say Man U winning the prem, the bookies i.e ISSBILL will come back and give the odds, some odds which haven't come from any site are negitionable, others aren't. The site used is William Hills. With the bookies there are added advantages, you can place a bet which includes the required odds for 2 things for instance Man U win the prem (odds 3-1*) + Rooney will be topscorer (odds 5-1*), the odds for this bet will be 15-1 then. Again check the bets in the bets outstanding thread.

**these are not real odds

Trivia Challenge
The Trivia Game is aimed for members who want to test their knowledge about soccer. Click on Trivia from the home screen. (http://www.soccerod.com/odguess.php) Basically, you get 50 points for each question you answer correctly. You can have a max of 10 questions each day, meaning a max of 500 OD points each day. There is also a ranking of the top scores, a ranking per season and the winners of previous seasons. You can also earn points by ending in the top 3 in a prediction league (see below).

Prediction Leagues
Predict games of the OD manager fantasy league and existing leagues! The top three predictors of each league (except the OD manager fantasy league) receive an amount of OD points (1st -15000 points, 2nd – 10000 points, 3rd – 5000 points). How do I predict? As you have noticed there is a ‘predict’ banner next to the ‘fantasy’ banner (http://www.soccerod.com/predictionleague.php). You can enter a prediction league by clicking the league you want to do predictions in and then Join you will have to donate 1000 OD points to join one. To predict you click the league you joined and then Current Games. NOTE: if there are more participants in the OD manager prediction league, the top 3 will also receive points, so Predict! is the message.

Making a Team
Click on the banner called ‘Fantasy’, or click on “OD Manager” from the top of the page (http://soccerod.com/playerlist.php). You can buy players classified as “Free Agents” To buy a player, click on the green button on the far right hand side of the screen. You can also sell players for a loss of 3% of the original value by pressing the red button. (TIP: Using the sorting links. Sort the players by cost, and then look for good buys that have high skill levels.) Your total team can not cost more than 13,000 OD Points and your playing 11 can’t cost more than 9,000 OD Points. You can start trading players whenever you want, you don’t have to wait till you have 9000 points to start buying players. You can also sell players on the transfer market to buy players on the transfer market: click on the banner called ‘Fantasy’ and then ‘transfer market’ (http://soccerod.com/transfer.php).
To sell players on the transfer market, click on the banner called ‘Fantasy’, then ‘Your Panel’ and click on behind the player you want to sell, you will be asked to enter the price you want to sell him for.
To trade players, you also click on the next to the player you want to trad and at the bottom you type the name of the owner you want to trade a player from. After that simply follow the steps, you can also decide wether you want to trade money with your player.
NOTE: If you notice that there are users that have been inactive for a long time (2+ months), then you can request that their players be converted to Free Agents so that you can buy them.

Green star players
Your team can include up to 3 “Green Star Players”. To buy a star player, go to ‘Your Panel’ and click on the link Green Star Players Make One. Basically, these players cost 700 points each, and start at level 50. You can train your players (see below) and they will get much better. This can be useful if you want to have players above 85 skill, but can’t afford to spend over 700 points on (because of the 13,000 od point club cost limit).

Yellow star players
You probably have noticed a lot of players have 1 up to 3 yellow stars, these stars represent a special ability for that player. For example: player with a yellow star for Scoring will score more than a normal player. The more yellow stars a players has, the more he will cost.

Playing Games
Once you have a team you are ready to compete with others. Click on Challenge in the OD Fantasy screen. After that you type the name of the player you want to challenge in the square beneath ‘player 2 username’. If someone challenges you, you will get a PM with a confirmation code. To confirm the game you click Challenge and after that Click here to confirm a game then, you type your name in the upper square and the confirmation code in the one beneath. You tell your opponent the confirmation #, and then they confirm and resolve it. Once you are in a game, you have to wait for it to be resolved before you can create another one. NOTE: your team performs better when you regulate condition: you can see your teams condition in Your Panel by clicking Regulate Condition, your teams condition is regulated as long as the head is coloured yellow. Your team is tired when the head turns blue. NOTE: regulating condition costs 200 points.

sOD Manager Leagues

Starting Leagues: You start a league buy scrolling over OD Manager at the top of your screen and click Leagues. After that click new league and make a league of the size you prefer. You can also set the cost for participating. After you made a league, other players can participate that league (read participating leagues below). It is your task as the league starter to Approve or Deny other users. How do you do that? You go to the leagues section again, and click Manage League. When all places are taken, you can start the league by clicking Manage League and after that Start League. It is adviced you start a topic at the sOD Manager Forum about when you're league will start so all the participants will know. Now it's your duty to simulate the games. You do that by clicking on your league and click SIMULATE behind the games you want to simulate. After you simulated all the games of that round you have to go to Manage League and click the Post Game Fixture Button. If you don't do this after every round, the cards and injuries won't disappear!
NOTE: when you make a league, it doesn't mean you are automatically in it, you have to click "Yes, I want to join this league!" yourself and afterwards accept yourself.

Participating Leagues: you can participate a league by scrolling over OD Manger at the top of you screen and click Leagues after that, click on a league that is in the section of Leagues that are about to start. And after that click "Yes, I want to join this league!". After that it is up to the league starter whether he'll approve or deny you. You'll get a PM in both cases. Check your team daily when you are in a league, in a league, you're players can get cards or get injured, you have to sub injured and carded players!

NOTES:
- After every league, all your players will grow one year older.
- You can't buy, sell or trade players when you're in a league

Formation/Strategy/Style of Play
To change your formation, strategy and style of play, click on Formation in the OD Fantasy screen. There are different formation and strategies for you to try. Formation and strategy makes a big difference in the results, so be sure to use this feature. If you don’t want people to be able to see your formation/strategy, you can hide it by going to the Edit icon from the Fantasy Screen. Style of Play: there are four types of style, the harder your style of play the more chances you get on scoring a goal but you also get more chance taking cards.

Stadium
To access this features, click on Edit in the OD Fantasy screen. You can buy and name a stadium for your team to play home games at. You can buy stadiums of varying sizes. Basically, the bigger your stadium is, the better your team will perform during home games. My advice to you is to save up money and buy as large of a stadium as possible because it makes a significant difference, (of course if u have a crap team you will still lose.)

Managers, Doctors, Spies and Psychologists
To access these features, click on Edit in the OD Fantasy screen.
A manager costs 8000 OD points. Basically this is a feature that gives experienced players an advantage over new members. By winning games, your manager gains experience (stars next to his name in Your Panel), and this helps you out in games. The more games you win, the better your manager becomes, and the more he helps you out in games. TIP: This isn’t all that important, what’s more important is having a good team and a large stadium.
A doctor, a spy and a Psychologist cost 5000 OD points each. A doctor reduces the chances of injury and a psychologist reduces the chances of having red and yellow cards in tournaments. If your team owns a spy, then you can start a spy mission on any user. This is useful if they have their details hidden and you wan't to know their formation, strategy, etc. They can be started from the Edit panel. Spy-missions cost 500 OD points each. You can upgrade you're spy with Prevention Tech for 10000 OD points, other users can't see details which they were able to see with a spy then.

Training your Star Players
To level up your green star players all you have to do is participate in games. Each game will give your player an amount of EXP which will get harder as the skill gets higher. Remember if you play a lot of games and lose your WLR (win/loss record) will be ruined!

if you have any questions, post them here
