Given the V? Ok, maybe it's just my American-self, but I read this article a few minutes ago, and didn't quite get it.
So apparently Wayne Rooney "gave the V" to someone (whatever that is) because they threatened to pee all over him. I can understand what he was implying by the gesture, however, what in the world does it mean to "give the V?" Is it anything like the middle finger? |

Possibly the other way round i.e the knuckles facing you, means victory and stands for peace.
You sometimes see rappers saying peace out with the V sign with knuckles towards themselves |
