MERSEYSIDE DERBY #2?? its that time of the season, its the MERSEYSIDE DERBY, between Liverpool & Everton
| Quote: | Everton will be hoping to halt Liverpool's title charge in the 205th Merseyside derby, live on PremPlus.
The Reds have won nine of their last 10 Premiership outings and are putting serious pressure on leaders Manchester United and champions Chelsea.
However, Everton should not be underestimated and put Liverpool to the sword at Goodison Park earlier this season with a convincing 3-0 success.
Sparks are sure to fly at Anfield with no less that 14 red cards coming from the Premiership fixture, while two of Steven Gerrard's five dismissals have come against The Toffees.
Liverpool will be without Brazilian defender Fabio Aurelio due to a foot injury ensuring Daniel Agger will continue on the left-hand side of a three-man backline.
Rafa Benitez has Mohamed Sissoko back in training following a dislocated shoulder problem, but this weekend's clash comes too soon for the combative midfielder.
Boudewijn Zenden made a successful comeback from a knee injury for Liverpool's reserves against Manchester United this week and he could be on the bench.
New signing Alvaro Arbeloa is pushing to make his debut, but Republic of Ireland international Steve Finnan should keep his right wing-back place.
Everton boss David Moyes will give star striker Andy Johnson a late fitness test before naming his starting XI.
The fleet-footed striker has been out of action since injuring his ankle and having scored three times in two Premiership outings against The Reds, Moyes will be keen for him to feature.
Tony Hibbert will also have a late fitness test while Gay Naysmith (groin) and Nuno Valente (knee) are both close to making their returns after injury.
Skysports.com Prediction: 2-1
High-flying Reds to edge a close Merseyside derby.
