Sergio Ramos Upset With Lack Of Support From Colleagues The young-right back told Marca that he was surprised to receive little encouragement or support after he was sent off a fortnight ago.
He said, "In truth, I was surprised not to hear any of my partners, or anyone from the club, say anything about the issue. But, that's the way it is and we need to deal with it.
"I don't expect anything from anyone. I'm happy with myself and I'm just trying to learn.
"Nobody is stupid and everyone knows very well what I mean. I felt a bit alone, but now it's time to look forward."
Personal Concerns
The Spanish international later told RealMadrid.com of his thoughts on the refereeing establishment as a whole, and his own disciplinary record.
"I respect them, so I won't really comment on that. They have a right to make mistakes, but I'm as unhappy with some of my own actions as with some of their decisions," he said.
"I'm an impulsive player that goes for the ball fiercely, but my actions and tackles are sometimes misunderstood. I've been labeled a certain way by them and it is hard to shake it off, but I eventually will.
"My form? We all have ups and downs throughout the season because of injuries, minutes played, etc... I recently went through a low patch, but I have recovered.
"My suspensions have helped me rest. I am excited about playing several games in order to be strong for the Euro 2008."
As for the subject of a so-called "lifetime contract," he was non-committal.
"My contract is the least of my worries right now. I'm happy for my teammates, but I only think about winning the title and performing well with Spain. The Club and I will talk about it whenever we have to," he concluded. |
